Another year of shows and festivals over.
Like all those who work in events and hospitality we struggled through the Corona Virus lockdowns from March 2020 to late 2021. Unlike many, we did get some support from local and national Government but that too was a fight. Basically they didn't, and still don't, understand our industry. Many of the companies we've worked alongside in the past have closed their doors, unable to sustain the businesses they grew with passion and commitment. The industry will take years to recover. We know what we do isn't life or death but the entertainment, joy, happiness and the smiling faces we see when we're working at shows and festivals is one of the best tonics for all our mental health and wellbeing. If the chance arises for you to visit a restaurant, theatre, music or food festival please take it. We all now need to return to living our lives and accept this other big C is here to stay.
The festival season for 2023 was still only around 50% of pre Covid times, please support your local events.
